I am Lecturer in Global Health Systems Research at the School of Public Health, Imperial College London, since 2022. I am a Health Economist with a general interest in quasi-experimental policy analysis in health. Two current areas of research include sin taxes & subsidies, and the health of older populations, with focus shifting towards low- and middle-income countries. Previously I held appointments at Nova School of Business & Economics, Portugal, the School of Business & Management, Queen Mary University of London, and the Geneva School of Economics & Management, Switzerland, where I obtained my PhD in Econometrics.
