Pedro Saramago is a Senior Health Economist / Associate Professor at the Centre for Health Economics, University of York, UK. Pedro holds an MSc and a PhD in Health Economics and has over 15 years of experience in health technology assessment, health economics and health services research. He has an extensive research portfolio, including both applied and methodological research, with expertise in evidence synthesis, Bayesian methods, decision modelling and value of information analyses. Since 2015 Pedro is a pharmacoeconomics expert for INFARMED I.P., co-authored the appraisal pharmacoeconomic guidance (2019) and pharmacotherapeutic guidance updates (2022), and recently became a member of the INFARMED I.P. HTA Executive Commission. Pedro is also a NICE committee member, being directly involved in approval decisions of health technologies in the UK.
