Ana Moura is a health economist interested in informing decision-making in healthcare to improve individual well-being. She currently works as a consultant, specializing in data analytics and econometrics applications within health economics. Her past experiences include a breadth of roles across academia and the public sector. Ana is affiliated with the Health Economics & Management Knowledge Center at Nova School of Business and Economics, and she has served on the board of APES for several terms.Ana has received her Ph.D. in Economics from Tilburg University (the Netherlands) in 2021. Her doctoral research investigated the effects of public policies on the healthcare system and health outcomes and it has been published in top, peer reviewed journals within the field, as well as presented in multiple international conferences. Ana received the Pedro Pita Barros Award in 2020 for the best scientific paper in Health Economics by a young research published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
